History

The Artegy name originates in France. Founded in 1999,  Artegy S.A.S provides services for over 8,000 commercial vehicles. The business has developed a contract hire service delivered on a regional basis through 10 offices located across the country. The head office is located in Paris.

In June 2004 Artegy S.A.S acquired the commercial vehicle division of Arval, (the UK’s largest Fleet and Fuel Management Company) and created Artegy Limited to further develop the UK market. Operating for over 20 years from the Manchester head office, over 3,000 commercial vehicles are managed, encompassing a range of equipment and applications.

Artegy is a wholly owned subsidiary of  BNP Paribas, the leading French banking group. Ranking fourth in Europe, it has one of the world’s largest international networks extending across 85 countries with staff of more than 150,000. This provides Artegy with access to competitive funding, strong financial backing and investment to continually improve.

With Artegy since 2007 being a division of  BNP Paribas Lease Group - the leading European provider of equipment financing solution to professionals and corporates - Artegy are building on the success achieved in the French and UK markets with plans for expansion in further European countries.
